Forever Trekking offers an alternative to traditional treks headed towards the Everest Base Camp. This package has been specially designed for travelers who are eager to experience the magnificence of the Everest range, without wanting too much mental and physical stress. The view from Gokyo is exceptionally beautiful and offers more of the legendary mountain than from the views from KalaPattar though from a slightly greater distance.

The trek begins with a short flight to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft), from where you will proceed to Phakding on the day of arrival for an overnight stay. The next and more scenic day will be spent trekking up to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286ft), a colorful Saturday market while interacting with the Sherpas known for their warm-heartedness. A full day will be spent in Namche Bazaar, important for the acclimatization of climbers.

Itinerary

Day 01 Katmandu
Upon your arrival in Katmandu, Officially greet and meet you at Airport treansfer to hotel. You will have leisure time. Overnight in Katmandu (1,000m/3,280ft). O/N in kathmandu.

Day 02 Katmandu
Half-day guided city tours (tour includes Katmandu Durbar Square, Syambunath Stupa, Pashupati Nath Temple - Hindu Temple & Buddha Nath - The biggest Buddha Stupa in ancient Katmandu). Afternoon pre-trip discussion of the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu (1,000m/3,280ft).O/N in Kathmandu.

Day 03 Katmandu-Lukla-Phakding: 35 min flight; 3-4 hours trek
Early morning flight by small twin otter to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft). After final preparations, the trekking starts passing Chaurikharka village, and makes a descent towards the Dudhkosi Ghat (2,530m/8,300ft). The trail follows the precise bank of the Dudhkosi River until camp at Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft) is reached. This first day is short for acclimatization reasons. O/N in Phakding.

Day 04 Phakding-Namche Bazaar: 5-6 hours
The trail crosses Dudhkoshi River through a long suspension bridge then trail leads you crossing side by side along the river to Hilary's Suspension Bridge.The trail further climbs from here to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286ft) O/N in Namche Bazzar

Day 05 Namche Bazaar:
Rest
This is the first of the two specific? Acclimatization? Days. You can spend the day taking a day walk hike to Thame, by visiting Khunde or by relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar; the main centre in the Khumbu region and has shops, restaurants, a bakery, hotel with hot showers and electric power. There is a colorful market each Saturday. O/N in Namche Bazzar.

Day 06 Namche Bazaar- Khumjung: 4 hours
The route starts by climbing up to the Shyangboche airstrip. Just above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel, a Japanese scheme to build a deluxe hotel with great views of the highest mountains on Earth. Overnight in Khumjung (3,810m/12,500ft). O/N in khumjung village.

Day 07 Khumjung - Phortse Tenga:
5-6 hours
You walk down a little further, and turn left to climb stairs and then walk through the forest of birch and junipers. You will reach beautiful village of Phortse Tenga, a tiny village with only few teahouses. Overnight in Phortse Tenga (3,680m/12,074ft). O/N in Phortse.

Day 08 Phortse Tenga - Dole: 5-6 hours
From Phortse Tenga, you will first trek through the rhododendron woods on the right bank of the Dudh Koshi. You are looking nice view of Cho Oyu (8,201m/26,906ft), Thamserku & Kantenga (6799m) and reach Dole Village. Overnight in Dole (4,090m/13,419ft). O/N in Dole.

Day 09 Dole to Machhermo: 5-6 hours
The trail climbs to Labharma and Luza. The path is steep in most of the places as it climbs through scrub junipers. Cross one more branch ridge and you will come to a wide valley and arrive at Machhermo. This is the village where it is believed that a Yeti killed several yaks and attacked Sherpa women. Overnight in Machhermo (4,465m/14,649ft). O/N in Machhermo.

Day 10 Machhermo to Gokyo: 3-4 hours
Today you will finally arrive in Gokyo. From Machhermo, it is a vertical climb up to the moraine from where the stream comes to a small lake. You can enjoy the views of wood ducks here. The trail almost height off as it follows the valley passed the second lake and finally up to the jumble of rocks and boulder and reaches isolated Gokyo Lake (4,750m/15,584ft) for overnight.

Day 11 Gokyo - Gokyo Ri Peak
The views around Gokyo are tremendous. You can have this trek in a real lifetime an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful isolated Himalayan scenes by exploring around and early morning climb to Gokyo Ri (5357m/19,216ft), it is a two-hour climbing to the top of the peak, providing a panoramic view of Cho Oyo, Gyachung Kang, Mt Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawachee. You will take this easy day for rest and acclimatization. Overnight in Gokyo.

Day 12 Gokyo- Phortse Village: 6-7 hours
After exploration Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Valley you will be walking down to Phortse. The route to Phortse retraces the upward journey to Pangka, then turns east and climbs across the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier to Na (4,400m/14,435ft), the only year round settlement in the valley. The trail makes a few ups and downs where landslides and streams have carve side valley, eventually entering Phortse Village (3,680m/12,074ft) for overnight.

Day 13 Phortse - Tengboche: 5-6 hours
The trail slightly descends to Dudhkoshi River then a steep ascent brings you to the Tengboche. On the path you may have an opportunity to see mosk deers. Visit the famous Tengboche monastery which has been built on 7th centuries. From Tengboche you will see tremendous views of Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest and other towering peaks with its back ground. Overnight in Tengboche (3,870m/12,697ft).

Day 14 Tengboche- Monjo: 6-7 hours
Trek goes down to the Fuki Tenga and steady climb and continuous walk to Namche Bazaar. You will spend some time in Namche bazaar After Namche you are walking descend and reach to the village of Monjo( 2,950m/9,678ft) for overnight.

Day 15 Monjo-Lukla: 4-5 hours
Trek back to Lukla along the same trail, although it always looks different coming from the opposite direction on arrival in Lukla you will have time to relax and celebrate the completion of your trek. Overnight in Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft).

Day 16 Lukla- Katmandu
Early morning fly to Katmandu.Transfer to your hotel; the day at leisure to rest, perhaps catch up on some last minute shopping or explore any sights you missed during your first day in Katmandu and evening celebration dinner together. Overnight in Katmandu.

Day 17 Till departure you are free then transfer to the airport.
